The Three Things You Need to Check Out This Week: May 9, 2020

While everyone was either protesting to re-open states or making TikTok videos to keep themselves from going all Jack Nicholson in The Shining, I was compiling the Three Things You Need to Check Out This Week:

  1. Unfortunately, I have to begin with a bummer. Pastor Darrin Patrick apparently took his own life this week at the age of 49. When I was a church planter, I often looked to Patrick for wisdom. I visited his church in St. Louis roughly 10 years ago. Prayers for his family and friends. You can read about it here.

  2. Another urgent prayer request is for God’s gracious servant Ravi Zacharias who has been battling cancer but was recently sent home with a dire prognosis. You can read more here.

  3. On a brighter note, Dr. Frank Turek had an excellent conversation with Alisa Childers about her upcoming book Another Gospel? The interview is entitled “Is There Any Hope in Liberal Christianity?” Check it out here. Also tune in this week when Dr. Turek interviews J. Warner Wallace on “Should You Believe in Conspiracy Theories?”

That’s it for now. Tune back in next week when, hopefully, I’ll have better news to share.
